The beginning of my Hooponopono journey happened in June 2008. I found myself standing in the "spiritual" aisle at BooksaMillion looking over the many titles. The book "Zero Limits" by Joe Vitale caught my attention.
Normally I would not purchase a book by Joe Vitale, yet the cover explained it was co-written with Dr. Ihaleakala Hew Len, master teacher of modern Ho'oponopono -- who is from Hawaii. I had lived in Hawaii when I was a child and this intrigued me.
Once I began reading it, I was extremely happy that I did buy it!
I immediately began "cleaning." I also went online in search of more information on Hooponopono.
At the time, there was not as much information, recordings, videos, etc. available. Yet, I did find several free recordings which helped me understand Hooponopono more.
Hooponopono & First Results
At the time I first began the Hooponopono techniques, Summer 2008, my husband and I were experiencing a 2 year financial crisis. It began in spring of 2006. It seemed NOTHING I tried "worked." (I work online.)
When I am in "desperate" mode, it seems (for me anyway), that I am highly scattered. I try too many things at once without following thru.
Over a few weeks time of using Hooponopono cleaning, I began to notice that I was concentrating and focusing more on my work. I made a plan of action in late September 2008 on building particular types of websites.
By the end of the year, my income had trippled.
Trying to explain why or how this happened can be difficult. In my opinion, I believe it is because the Hooponopono "cleaning" calmed my crazy anxious thoughts and allowed inspiration and concentration to occur.
Mabel Katz's site and recordings helped the most in teaching and applying the techniques.
